Lot 1132 Manning Street

The Garage backs onto Manning Street and is located next to the Function House. The Garage has a single gable roof and stands in the shadow of the windmill, with in front of it the picturesque wreck of an old car.

The building is easily recognised by the vehicle number plates covering the exterior walls and is a popular photographic subject for visitors.

The Gwalia settlement never had a garage, and it is understood that this building was relocated from Leonora. It is possible that it represents Sullivans Garage in Leonora, where Gwalia residents would have had their cars or motorcycles serviced.
